We were so saddened to hear the news that Dave had passed away so suddenly. Words can’t take away the hurt you are all feeling right now, but just know that we are thinking of you all at this time and sending you all much love. Dave was a true legend, he may no longer be here in body but his spirit lives on.

Karen, it was a beautiful but moving service yesterday. You might not have noticed, but right at the end, during Lamentations, there were dolphins in the bay.

So shocked to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with him over 20 years ago and he was a great guy. Sending my condolences to all his family, especially Esme and Ella. RIP Dave xxx

Very sad and shocked to hear of Daves passing.... such a gentle man and amazing Dad. I will always remember you as banana man at the brides and superhero party many moons ago and being kind enough to bring Esme and Elsa to catch up with Niamh and Zack when back in the UK. Clare, Niamh and Zack xxx
What a beautiful service .x

Still so shocked by this tragic news. Dave was one of the best. In over 20 years of knowing him, I don't think I heard him raise his voice once, and that's with spending time with me and my kids! He was unflappable, witty and kind, clever and gentle. The best testimony to him is the legacy he leaves in his amazing children Esme and Elsa. He was a fantastic dad and very proud of them both, as he should be. I was lucky enough to see him a couple of years ago and spent the day riding roller coasters and eating junk food! A perfect memory. My love to all who loved him. x

I worked with, lived with, shared an office with, car-pooled with and - best of all - hung out with Dave for several years during our 20s. That was the time in our lives when friends are your family; after you've left home but before you've started a family of your own. Dave was a great friend.

Shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Dave. He was a caring and gentle soul with a heart of gold. An amazing Uncle to my children and he will be deeply missed. My love and thoughts are with all his family but mainly to Esme and Elsa that he thought the world of and I know will make him proud daily.
Lots of love and hugs

Dave's family and friends in the UK and Australia are in our thoughts. Dave was such a gentle, calm, patient and talented man with a heart of gold, taken far too soon from us. Esme and Elsa are in our hearts and we send our deepest sympathies to all who knew him and loved him. God bless.

Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time, really sorry for your loss, I was learning to play guitar when one day called at your house to drop girls off after school, and guitars where hanging on the walls in the hallway. In a strange way it gave me inspiration to keep learning, love too you all x

Fiona, Esme, Elsa and all of Dave’s loved ones.
I will always treasure the memories of our many family days together. We had something so special and I will always look back at those times fondly. Dave was such a lovely, kind hearted and caring man who clearly adored Esme and Elsa. I feel so blessed to have known him and I am so saddened that he has been taken so soon.
Much love and thinking of you all, Louise, Tom, William, Ryan and Reece.

Esme, Elsa, Fiona & Family,
Heartbroken is an understatement. Dave was and is a wonderful man who I was so lucky to have met when Esme and I were in our most important years of our life. Dave welcomed me with open arms and an open heart and accepted me into his home like no other father i’ve met. The memories i have made with Dave’s two girls- Country week trips, countless sleepovers and NYE parties- are memories i will cherish forever, and none of these memories would have been possible without Dave always watching us from the corner of his eye and feeding us. Heaven has truly gained such a special father, friend, family member and guitar player. No one loved their dad more than Esme and Elsa and now they have such a special angel watching above them. Dave, your memories will live forever in my heart. Rest in paradise.
