To My Sister Marilyn
We weren't bought up together. We found each other many years later when our children were starting to grow up.
I remember the first time we met and when my history didn't seem to fit with what you knew, you said that maybe you had got the wrong sister! My Husband Brian said "don't be silly look at the pair of you".
I remember that unreal sensation when I looked into your face and I saw me looking back.
I remember trying to fit 7 children and 4 adults into your small home on "Fruit Salad Farm" when we visited for the weekend.
I remember the often too few times we talked about our lives before we met and the tears that helped wash away some of my unhappy memories

I will remember the times and the laughter of my moments with you
Forever in my heart

Donnybrook Community Garden on 12 February, 2018 at 12:21pm

Donnybrook Community Garden group would like to express its deepest condolences to Noel and the family of the late Mrs Marilyn Faye Hickman.

Marilyn was our first appointed secretary when forming our new Donnybrook Community Garden committee in 6 August 2016.

Despite her other ongoing commitments to the various community groups, Marilyn had a heart for the Donnybrook Community Garden group, the arboretum (through the Friends of the Arboretum) and she desired to establish a heritage orchard in Donnybrook for visitors.

We loved her enthusiasm and passion in all that she did and she will be greatly missed by all.
