Deeply saddened to hear of Shayne's passing. Shayne leaves us with very fond memories - such a great guy. Condolences to his family.

Bobby & Marian Evans & Family. on 20 September, 2021 at 9:29pm

Over 20 odd years ago I welcomed Shayne to Ireland, he was continuing the Barrett tradition of visiting the Bantry birthplace of his late grandfather, Bill. It was my pleasure to spend time guiding him through the family visitations, beauty spots & “craic” of an Irish holiday. He returned the favour in 2019, welcoming & introducing us to Busselton, especially to his beloved jetty.
His life was an inspiring one & we are all the poorer for his passing: May he rest in peace.
Our sincere condolences to Aunt Roma, Kerry, Colleen & to the extended Barrett families.

Always positive right to the end Uncle Shayne. We will miss your fun-loving smiling face at our family gatherings, your willingness for a game of backyard cricket, your eagerness to know about our lives and sharing updates on your many pursuits including table tennis, bowls, volunteering at the jetty, footy and racing results! It's been so great having you back in Busselton the last 12 years and seeing you enjoy all these things so much. Thankfully the battle was short and you got to leave us on a high with little suffering. Rest in peace now xo
